Obituary for Judy Kay Gilmore

Hastings resident Judy K. Gilmore, 75, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Premier Estates of Kenesaw, Nebraska

Her wish was for cremation and no service.  DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings, Nebraska is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation.

Judy was born August 29, 1943, in Riverton, Nebraska, the daughter of Elmer and Edna (Malick) Schriner. She graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1962.  Judy married Darrell Overfield, to this union was born Keri and Kent, they later divorced. She married Gary Gilmore on April 25, 1975, in Mankato, Kansas. Judy retired from the Dana Corp. when they closed in Hastings, Nebraska. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and other family and friends.

Judy is survived by her children, Keri (Chris) Wheeler of Kenesaw, NE and Kent (Karen) Overfield of Campbell, NE; grandchildren, Jr. (Megan) Bohl of Hastings, NE and Phillip Poe of Kearney, NE; great-grandson, Auston Bohl of Hastings, NE; brother Jerry (Carol) Schriner of Loup City, NE; sister-in-law, Jan Schriner of Franklin, NE; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, John Schriner; and sister and brother-in-law, Connie and John Miller.
