Jesus N. Morales

Hastings resident Jesus N. Morales, 89, passed away, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Mary Lanning HealthCare.

Private family services will be held at a later date. In honoring his wishes to be cremated there is no viewing or visitation. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Hastings, Nebraska is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to his family for a later designation.

Jesus Nogar Morales was born June 26, 1926 in the Philippines, son of Fortunato and Eugenia (Nogar Movales) Marales. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Jesus married Amanda Mantilla in 1952. He was a member of the American Legion in Hastings, Nebraska. Jesus enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching westerns and boxing.

Jesus is survived by his daughter Clarita Pickhinke and her husband James; two sons, Ramon Morales and Bebiano Morales and his wife Maria; step-daughter, Lucia Mantilla and her husband Rufila; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Maria Okazaki and her husband Jose.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and son, Edgardo Morales.
