Lynn E. Dyer

Hastings resident Lynn E. Dyer, 83, passed away, Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings, Nebraska.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Honoring his wish to be cremated there is no viewing or visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.

Lynn E. Dyer was born August 9, 1934, in Bertrand, Nebraska the son of Howard and Hattie Dyer. He graduated from Bertrand High School with the class of 1951 and received his Master's Degree from Kearney State College. Lynn married Vivian I Henninger in 1954 in Lexington, Nebraska. He was a CPA and taught accounting. Lynn was a member of several CPA associations over the years and involved with many Lutheran Church activities. He enjoyed playing different instruments and traveling.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vivian; children, Dennis Lynn (Marcy) Dyer of Odessa, TX and Debra Lynnette (Gregg) Bourbon of Arlington, TX; grandson, Eric Dyer; brother, Jim Dyer of Henderson, NE; sisters-in-law, Beverly (Dan) Huber, Marjorie (Richard) Kennedy, Elaine Montgomery, Diane (Durel) Arnold, and Maria Henninger; brother-in-law, Keith (Shelly) Henninger; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sharon Hungerford and Karen Lavalleur; and brother-in-law, Allen Henninger.
