Teresa "Terri" M. Hughes

Blue Hill resident Teresa "Terri" M. Hughes, 54, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home.

Memorials service is 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Blue Hill, Nebraska. In honoring her wish for cremation there is no viewing or visitation. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation.

Teresa M. Hughes was born August 30, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of William G. and Jeanne A. (Nelsen) Hughes. She moved to Hastings with her family in 1976 and graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1980. Terri attended Central Community College in Hastings. She moved to Blue Hill, Nebraska in 2002. Terri was active with her children's activates at the Blue Hill Schools. She loved cats, FarmVille, and her 1964 Thunderbird.

Terri is survived by her spouse Mark Bauman of Blue Hill, NE; children, Andrew Hughes and wife Kaitlyn of Genoa, NE, Matt Hughes of Blair, NE, Jonathan Bauman, Anthony Bauman, and Elizabeth Bauman all of Blue Hill, NE; two granddaughters, McKenna Hughes and Senneca Hughes; sister, Deb Gunia and husband Jim of Virginia Beach, VA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandmother, Margaret Nelsen.
