Willie J Burke

Lincoln resident Willie J. Burke Jr., 68, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at his home. Willie was born June 9, 1944 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Willie Sr. and Maggie (Harris) Burke. He obtained his GED before leaving Colorado to settle in Lincoln, NE. He was a welder by trade and in later years spent his time doing maintenance work. Willie enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, chess and dominoes. In recent years, fishing became his main hobby but he still maintained a great collection of chess sets. Willie is survived by his wife Dorthinea; son, Mark Davis; two step-daughters, Babetta Berry and Sara Riveria; step-son, Bryan Riveria; brother, Corneilius Smith; Aunt, Ella Williams; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
