Betty Jo Sumpter

Betty Jo Sumpter, 63, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her home in Hastings.

Celebration of Life to be held from 11:00am to 4:00pm, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Hastings Eagle Club #592.

Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation.

Betty Jo was born October 2, 1958, in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles and Eloris Cash. She attended Hastings High School. Betty Jo married Jerry Sumpter, they later separated. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing pool and shuffleboard. Betty Jo cherished her grandchildren.

Betty Jo is survived by her children, Kimberly Tripe, Lindsey Sumpter, and Jarrod Sumpter; nine grandchilden, Ella, Noah, Mya, Gabe, Hoover, Vance, Tripp, Charlei, and Brilei; four sisters, Charlene (Dick) Woolsey, Patty Cash-Johnson, Merry (Bill) Perry, and Karen (Roger) Anderson; brother, Gary Cash; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eloris Cash, and brother, Chuck Cash.
