Roseland resident, Gerald ‘Jerry’ W. Davis, 65, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his home.

Private family services were held. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to his family for a later designation.

Jerry was born October 29, 1957, in Hastings, Nebraska the son of Marvin L. and Patsy Ruth (Morre) Davis. He graduated from Hastings High School with the class of 1976. Jerry married Christy Kinney on September 11, 1997, in Hastings. He was a longtime truck driver for the bakery in Hastings. Jerry enjoyed Camping, hunting, fishing and cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Christy Davis; children, Jery (Craig) Campbell, Jeff (Cassy) Davis, Scott Kinney, Aaron (Renae) Kinney, Clint (Becky) Schmailzl, and Jennifer (Kenny) Schmailzl; nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Adams-Davis; former spouse, Judy Weinman; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his dog, Sissy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
