Judy Crandell Obituary

Hastings resident Judy K. Crandell, 76, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings, Nebraska.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 am Friday, July 9, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Hastings, Nebraska. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hastings, Nebraska are handling arrangements.

Judy was born August 8, 1944, in Burwell, Nebraska the daughter of Wayne and Eula (Butcher) Hesselgesser. She grew up and attended school in Hastings, Nebraska. Judy married Elmer A. Crandell on June 27, 1964, in Hastings, Nebraska. She worked as a nurse's aide at Good Samaritan Society. Judy enjoyed gardening and caring for her dog, “Gypsy”.

Judy is survived by her brothers, Harvey Hesselgesser, Robert Hesselgesser, and Preston Hesselgesser; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sisters, Ramona Echternach, Wjnona Miller, Juanita Smalley, Trini Achor, Kathryn Porter, and Bessie Hartford.
