Lawernce Highley Obituary

Washington State resident Lawrence O. Highley, Sr. 81, died April 4, 2011.

Lawrence was born on November 8, 1929 in Beatrice, Nebr., the son of Maurice and Nevelle (VanLaningham) Highley. He joined the 8th Army Air Corp in 1946, served in World War II and was stationed in England where he met his war bride. He also served in Vietnam for 2 terms. He loved gardening, fishing and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Pamela S.I. Davila (Jonas) of Lacey WA, Lawrence Highley, Jr. (Patricia) of Olympia, WA, and Robert Highley (Phyllis) of Oakville, WA; grandchildren, Eric (Cassie) Highley of Centralia, WA, Irene (Jesse) Garrett of Lacey, WA, Jason Highley of McMinnville, OR, Joseph (Randi) Van De Walker of Tenino, WA; and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Anderson, Austin Van De Walker, Bryanna Highley and Maddison Highley.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela S. (King) Highley; and his parents.

Service
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at Parkview Cemetery with military honors
