Margaret "Naomi" Jimeson

Margaret Naomi Jimeson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 surrounded by family at her daughter's home in Hastings, Nebraska.

Naomi was born to Grace (Boots) and Lawson C. Briggs, Sr. near Colony, Kansas on January 5, 1930.

After graduating from Colony High School, she went to Cosmetology School in Topeka, Kansas.

After completion of school, she found employment in Hiawatha, Kansas. This is where she met her future husband, Dick Jimeson. They were married on December 23, 1951, and were together for almost 71 years. Naomi and Dick were blessed with two children, daughter Diana, and son Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Her brother Lawson Briggs, Jr. and an infant sister, Mildred LaVern. Her husband, Dick passed on July 17, 2022.

Naomi is survived by her children, Diana (Eric) Beisner of Hastings, NE. Dennis (Jan) Jimeson of Oklahoma City, OK. Her sister, Iris Parker, of Orting, Washington. Brother-in-law, Art (Linda) Jimeson of Hiawatha, Kansas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

It was Naomi's wish to be cremated. DeWitt Funeral Home & Cremation Services Hastings is serving the family. 

A private family graveside service will be held later at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hiawatha, Kansas with the help of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home.
