Mark Reiner Obituary

Hastings resident Mark A. Reiner, 71, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, of natural causes at his home.

Mark was born on March 24, 1952, in Seward, Nebraska to Ernest and Ruth (Harrenstein) Reiner. He grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School in 1970 and Hastings College in 1974. Mark owned and operated Reiner Tax & Accounting from 1978 until his retirement in 2020. He loved fishing, hunting and his grandkids.

Mark is survived by his wife, Diana; brother, Bradley Reiner of Hastings, NE; daughter, Heidi (Alex) of Durham, NC; son, Eric (Laura) of Lincoln, NE; and grandchildren Zara and Leila Reiner-Yacoub of Durham, NC, and Benjamin and Ruth Reiner of Lincoln, NE; as well as nieces, a nephew, and great- nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gregory Reiner.

His family will hold a private memorial at a later date. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting his family with arrangements.
