Sandra Nelson

Hastings resident Sandra W. Nelson, 78, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2023, at her home.

Gathering of friends and family will be 3pm to 5pm, Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Goldbeck Tower Community Room at Good Samaritan Society in Hastings. DeWitt Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting her family with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation.

Sandra was born May 9, 1945, in Parigold, Arkansas, the daughter of Samuel E. and Edith S. (Yancey) Jones. She married David M. Nelson and raised her family. Sandra enjoyed listening to Neal Dimond and Elvis. She cherished her family and loved to spoil her grandkids.

Sandra is survived by her children, Terri Brown, Tony (Lindsay) Brown, Bret Brown, Robert Baca, Ace (Diane) Kelley, Patrick (Mario Rodriguez) Kelley, and Jordana Nelson; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Sherri (Dave) Hazel; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters; and a brother.
